Valentine Decorations

So, are you getting ready for Valentine's Day? I normally wouldn't make such a big deal about it but I've been seeing these crazy awesome Valentine decorations all over blog land!! Of course, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to copy some of these fabulous projects!

First I made this Heart Banner. OMG...it looks so much prettier in person. The only thing is, I think it's too heavy because where the hearts are attached to each other is pulling the outer heart flat...LOL!! I don't even care. I still love this project. I used all kinds of Designer Series Paper for this. Mostly retired DSP that I have been hoarding. Time to use it or sell it and I thought I'd better use it since I "love" it so much...blah, blah, blah!  There's a great little tutorial over at...brain freeze...I have no clue where I got this idea from. Well, I didn't come up with it myself. We all know I'm not that talented...HA!! As soon as I figure out where I got this idea I promise I'll share it with you. I do remember she made a banner for her son Colin though. I want to give credit where credit is due!! Man that's frustrating...

So, this next project was inspired by all the hearts I've been seeing everywhere. Of course I had to use some more DSP that I love. This time I cut all the hearts out with a personal cutting machine. The sizes range from 6" to 1". I did use my Full Heart Punch for the 2" hearts and my Heart to Heart Punch for the 1" hearts. Gotta' LOVE those punches!!! Of course I could have used our new Hearts Collection Framelits Dies. The largest of the set of 6 DIES is 5 1/4" wide!!! That would have been SOOOOOOOO much easier. But being the lazy crafter that I am, I haven't ordered them yet. AAARRRGGGHHH!!! All the hearts are hot glued together with thread sandwiched between them. So quick and easy!!
This next project was one of my fav's! It seriously took me about 10 minutes to make, no kidding! I got the instructions over at Tisha Copeland's blog, Stamp, Stitch & Swizzle Stix. Thank you Tisha!! If you like quick crafting gratification you need to make one of these babies!! It was so quick and it is just so pretty to look at.
Well, I hope you liked my little Valentine post today. Let me know what you think of my creations or if you have any questions let me know. Thanks for visiting me today!!
Happy crafting!
