Well, it's finally here...my Sister's wedding!! It's been a long year waiting for this day but the wait is over!! This Saturday, my Sister will officially begin her new life in wedded bliss! I am so very happy for my Sis and her husband to be, Jeff. I wish them a long, loving relationship together.
Ok, enough sappy stuff...Here's the card I made for their special day.

I'm still having a little trouble with my Photoshop program but I finally got some pictures to upload of the blog candy. Here's what Claudia won!!
Just in case you can't read the stamps in the set here's what they say: big, DREAM, LIVE, THANKS, NEWS, wish, day. The set is retired and from Stampin' Up! and is called Think Big.

The following 4 were created by Joyce Cram.
I got this idea from a swap my friends got at the Stampin' Up! convention this year. I just thought it was the cutest way to use some of our punches. I made this one for my nieces birthday coming up. I just saw another idea I'm going to have to try, for making an owl, using some of our punches in our Stampin' Up! Stampin' Success magazine. Demonstrators receive this magazine every month and it's full of samples, ideas, tips, techniques and business info. If you were ever thinking of becoming a demonstrator now is the time!! We're having a $99 special now through October 11th!! Click the link to the left or email me for more information. I'd love to see what you do with our awesome punches. Send me pics or a link and if you want I'll even add it to my blog, giving you full credit of course.
Recipe is below the pic.
Have a terrific Thursday!

Happy Thursday!! Here are a couple of cards I made. One was for my Mom's birthday and one was for my Sister's birthday. They're pretty straightforward cards. No crazy techniques but sometimes the simplest cards are still pretty. I just stamped the flowers and colored them in with markers. On my Mom card I also stamped the white dots in the center of the flowers and embossed them in white. The chipboard letters came with white polka dots but just not enough so I added some with my white gel pen. The recipe is below.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day!

This is the card I made for my wonderful DH!! He absolutely loves the beach so when I found The Photo Stack 2 by DCWV I just had to have it. The stack has beach, nature, flowers, objects and city scenes in it and they're 12 x 12!! I don't know how many sheets of paper there are in this stack but it's about 1" thick!! Anyway, here's the card...I wanted it to look like I wrote the Happy Birthday in the sand so I used the Chocolate Chip Classic Pad and Sahara Sand Stampin' Write Marker. The alphabet set is retired and is called Brushstroke Alphabet. The background cardstock and ribbon are Brocade Blue. I also used River Rock Double Stitched ribbon The card is 5 x 5. It just makes me want to go to the beach.
Thanks for visiting me and I hope you get to the beach soon!

These are the thank you notes I created for my son's 5th birthday. They're very simple but I think they're cute and quite boyish. I needed to keep them simple as I had to make 25 of them. Thanks for checking in and I hope you're having a wonderful evening!

Well, I finally figured out what was wrong with my computer. I needed to empty some of the hard disk. My hard disk was absolutely FULL!! Can you believe that?? I couldn't believe how many pictures I had on my computer. Over 7,000 pictures and even more videos!! My DH bought me an external hard drive and I downloaded ALL of my pictures and videos to that. It was over 215 GB!! That's Giga Bytes!! Unbelieveable!! SO, now I've got plenty of space to add more pictures...LOL!!
Here's a project I made the other day. My good friend Gina Cardera bought me the Stampin' Up! Workshop WOW DVD from Convention and this Emerging Color technique was demonstrated on there by Rolanda Patton from Tulsa, OK!! I have seen this technique done before but this demonstration just made me want to try it again!! Thank you Gina and Rolanda!!
AND, thank YOU (my loyal readers) for sticking with me through the good times and the bad!

Hello my blogging friends. I have to let you know that for some reason I can't get my Photoshop to work. I've got a few things to share with you and I'm so frustrated that I can't edit my photographs. I keep getting the error "scratch disk is full"!! I don't even know what that means! I've cleaned my computer, defragmented and everything and for some reason Photoshop automatically closes when I go to save anything. If you know how to correct this problem I would love to hear from you. I would even be willing to send you a special treat for your help. SO, until I can get this resolved I won't be posting any pictures. As soon as this is fixed watch out, I'm gonna' flood my blog with pictures!!
Thanks for hanging in there with me.

Well, my Blog-A-Versary has come and gone and I didn't even remember. It was July 28, 2007 that I made my first post. I can't believe I've made it a whole year!! YOU are the reason I am still here...all of my loyal readers! YOU are the reason I love to share what I create. YOU are the mighty force pushing me along the track to creative splendor! YOU are the wind beneath my wings! (ok, that was totally dorky...LOL!) I just want you all to know that I am here for you. You make me feel so unbelievably wonderful with all of your inspiration and your thoughtful comments. I sincerely appreciate each one of you for sticking with me over the past year and encouraging me to keep on creating. THANK YOU, EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!
Ok, now on to the blog candy...well, I don't actually have a picture of the candy just yet but believe me, it's going to be totally worth your time in leaving me a comment. All I ask is that you look back at all of the things I've created over the past year and tell me which project was/is your favorite. That's it! Please remember to leave your name AND email so I can contact you if you win.
Thank you again for being there for me and as I start my second year as a blogger I hope that I can be here for you. With inspiration, tips, tricks and above all friendship!
Happiness and hugs to you all!
Lorraine
PS Stay tuned for a picture of the blog candy...

If you read my last post you know that my friend Julie is pregnant. We just found out that my Sister In Law is also pregnant. I am so very excited for both of them and can't wait till those little snuggle babies arrive!! Here's a card I made for each of them.

My little man (son) just turned 5!! WOO HOO! I can't believe how fast time flies! We had his birthday party last weekend and here's the invite I made for all of the guests.

Hi there to all of my faithful readers!!! First of all let me apologize for taking so long to post this. Things really start ramping up for me beginning in May. My nieces birthday and Mother's Day. Then in June it's my Dad's birthday and Father's day and my Mother in Law's birthday and I also had my sister's first bridal shower to attend. Then in July we have my nephew's birthday, my hubby's birthday, my son's birthday and I have my sister's bridal shower tomorrow. Plus, we had family here from Colorado last week. So, with planning all of those things and going to all of them time is just really short for me to stamp. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this time of year with all the family things going on. All of our family is out of town so whenever I get a chance to spend time with family that's first on my list!! My sister's bridal shower is tomorrow and my son's birthday party is Sunday. I'm so excited about both and I'm actually getting sad that they're going to be over soon. The fun for me is planning everything and then just being there to see everyone enjoy themselves!! I do have some things I want to share with you but I'm asking you to please be a little more patient with me and I should be able to post them next week. I hope you are all doing well and having a wonderful summer and I thank you so very much for hanging in there with me.
Until next week...hug those you love and be happy!
