I re-did this life preserver for my son's room. We are in the middle of remodeling his room and I'm using a nautical theme. We've had this life preserver for years and I thought it would be a great addition to his room only better after I painted it and added the words using my Cricut and the Planitn Schoolbook cartridge and the sailboats were made using my Sizzix machine and sailboat die.
This is a card I made for a friends 10 year old son who had some serious dental work done recently. He definitely deserved a medal of bravery so I had to make him this card. The K is his first initial and the tag was a tag I got off of a pair of jeans I had bought my son. It was just perfect for this card. I did sponge some close to cocoa ink on it as well as the very vanilla ribbon to give it an aged look. Hi Lorie, I hope Kyler is doing well and that all of his dental work is behind him now! I saw this adorable little Pocket Book on Patty Bennett's blog and just had to make one. It took me about 5 minutes to put it together. Seriously, it's that simple! Patty used the Bind it All, which I don't have so, I used my Crop A Dile and ribbon!! I think I will add pictures of my son and niece and nephew to this one to keep for myself and then make my Mom one for Mother's Day too! I hope you get a chance to make one of these. Here's a little box I made to hold gift tags. It's really small with the dimensions being 3" tall x 2 1/8" wide and 7/8" deep. I'll post all the measurements later. I just need to tweak it a little bit more to get it perfect. I just think it would be a cute little gift for someone filled with gift tags. I just received a new Cricut cartridge I won on Ebay. It's called Accent Essentials and I've never seen it in a store before. I think I'm really going to be using this cartridge quite a bit. So, I needed to make a thank you card and came up with this. I hope you like it!

This is a card I made for a friend of my Husband's. Last week his Mother passed away unexpectedly. I have never made a sympathy card. For some reason I just thought it wasn't politically correct to make a sympathy card. Then I was thinking, why not?? This is what I do, this is a part of me, it doesn't get more personal than this. That is why I created my first sympathy card. I feel it shows how much we care about our friend and that he is special enough to us that he deserves a special card. I hope he is doing well and going through this tough time with family and friends to lean on (including us). Happiness & hugs to all of you, my extended blogging family! This is a close up of the planets Jennifer made on the background of the above card. Isn't this ingenious? She just drew the "rings" around the circle stamp. What a great idea!
My son had his very first Baseball Hit A Thon and got quite a few donations so I needed to make some thank you cards for his faithful sponsors. After trying to figure out a few baseball cards I scrapped that idea and came up with this. I just couldn't get the mojo to make a baseball card. I don't know why, it just didn't come to me. This card, however, came to me very easily. I think it's very appropriate since my son wanted to send "many" thanks. Thank YOU for coming to visit me today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I've been playing around with my SU! Chunky Glitter lately so I thought I'd make a card. This card is for my niece Jessica. Although she's a little tomboy she is still very girly. She loves pink and green. She's turning 10 in May and this will be her birthday card. The flower is made with our Sticky Cuts and the Pink & Red Chunky Glitter. The stem and leaves are embossed with the Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder and just cut out freehand. The letters were cut using my Cricut Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The Cardstock is Regal Rose and Certainly Celery and the Designer Paper is called Celebrate-Glisten (although it isn't sparkly at all) and is by 3 Bugs in a Rug. I fell in love with this paper the second I saw it at my LSS.

Do you remember the bracelet I made a while back with the Making Memories Brads? Well, I finally got the jewelry findings to complete it. So, here it is again but complete this time. I'm thinking of making this a Mom & Daughter class using our Build a Brad. What do you think? Would you take a class like that? Our Build a Brad kit has enough brads to make 3 of these bracelets. Even more if you have small wrists. There are 24 brads in the kit and the bracelet I made uses 7. What would you pay for a class like this? I would have the girls make one bracelet in class and one card. Then they could take the kit home to create more bracelets or cards or scrapbook pages or whatever. I was thinking these brads would look really cute in those Croc sandals too. Hmmm, I just got some of those. I'll have to try that out. Anyway, here's the bracelet. I used sticky strip on the back to add the findings and the ribbon to finish it off. Oh, and I used some Swarovski Crystals in between the brads too.
