Scallop Circle Gate Fold Card

Happy Wednesday still!! :0) Here's my final post for tonight. It's a card inspired by a card created by Debbie Olson. I used Stampin' Up!'s Carousel Note cards, put two together and made a gate fold card. I hope you like it. I didn't do very well with the shadow outline of the elephant but I'll work on it for future cards. :0) Thanks again for visiting me and have a wonderful evening!

June Downline Meeting

These are the cards we made at my downline meeting this month. We only had 4 attend this month but it was a wonderful time with some wonderful friends. Blog Candy Re-Draw 6/9

I don't know what I've been doing but I totally forgot about this Blog Candy . I just found the bag with all these goodies in it under my desk!! I had picked a winner and have never heard from her so I'm giving Alison in Denver one more week to claim her blog candy and if I don't hear from her I think I'm going to have to pick another name. I can't believe it's been over 3 months since I announced the winner and I haven't sent the candy to anyone. SO, Alison in Denver, you have until Monday, June 9th to contact me with your mailing address and if I don't hear from you by then I will choose another winner on June 10th. I had announced the winner on 2/29 and I also posted a note to Beate's Yahoo Group letting you know that you won. Paper Pieced Sailboat

Here's a card I created just for fun. I've been wanting to paper piece this sailboat for quite a while now. Here's how I did it. I chose my Designer Series paper and stamped the sailboat on the back of the piece I wanted to use. Then I just cut it out. It is backwards from the original stamp but that's ok with me. I can think of tons of sets I want to do this with!! Isn't it so cool? Normally you would stamp your image right on the paper you want to use. This works great with line images but with a solid image like our sailboat in the Nursery Necessities stamp set you would just cover the paper. This is just another clever way to use your solid bold stamps. I hope to be making more of these kinds of images soon so stay tuned!

Bright Springy Cards & A Graduation Banner

This first card was made for a blog friend for her birthday. Patty Bennett's birthday was last Wednesday, May 28th. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATTY!! She had some blog candy up for grabs if you sent her a birthday card but I asked her not to enter my card in the contest. I just wanted to send her a special birthday RAK for always being so sweet to me and helping me with my Stampin' Up! business and blog. I actually made this card before she announced her blog candy. I thought I'd share it with you now since I'm sure she's already received it. Ok, the supplies are really simple. Pixie Pink cardstock, Printed Paper from DCWV's Premium Stack paper called Nana's Nursery/Baby Girl. The sentiment was heat embossed with the Stampin' Up! set called Sincere Salutations and Detail White embossing powder and punched out with the Large Oval Punch. The ribbon came from Macy's and was wrapped around my Mother's Day gift from my DH & DS. This card was made for a good friend of mine...Debbie Colbacchini. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE!! Her birthday was also last week, May 27th. The supplies are the same as the card above except for the cardstock which is Elegant Eggplant and the ribbon which is Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain.
This card is actually cased from a card I saw in the Paper Craft Inspirations magazine. The original card was created by Alison Hamnett. Everything I used is different than the original card but the layout is the same. I used Tempting Turquoise cardstock and Printed Paper from DCWV's Premium Stack paper called Nana's Nursery/Baby Boy. The little flowers are punched with the SU! punch Boho Blossoms and I added some faux gemstones from my stash. I also used the small and large Oval punches from SU! and some white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and some white eyelets. The sentiment is stamped using Tempting Turquoise Classic pad and the Fundamental Phrases stamp set. I also used my Pinking Shears to gut the squares and the tops of the cupcakes. I punched the bottoms of the cupcakes out with my 1 3/8" square punch then just rounded the corners with my scissors.
Here's another card I made using the Printed Paper from DCWV's Premium Stack paper called Nana's Nursery/Baby Girl. This wasn't made with anyone in mind but I think I know who's going to get it. Can't say who until I know she's gotten it in the mail. :0) The background cardstock is Apricot Appeal and the letters are from the dollar section at JoAnne's.
Here's a special card I made for my Sister's upcoming bridal shower. My Mom and I are hosting the shower and originally I thought about buying the invitations but as I thought about it I just wanted to make something really special. I came up with this. I'm not sure about the YoYo Yellow on the card or the button so it might change a bit from this before it goes out in the mail. I made up a poem for the front of the card that says: They fell in love.They set the date.Now it’s time to celebrate. The cardstock base is cut at 10" x 10" Fold it in half then turn it 1/4 turn and fold it in half again. You should have 4 squares on your card. Then you cut off the flap on the lower left corner and cut the lower right corner up to about 2 1/5". Then fold up the bottom flap and insert your cards with all the info. The first card says Details and will have something like this on it: Please join us for a bridal shower honoring Leticia Castellon on Saturday July 26 at 1:00 pm #### Address, City, CA Please RSVP Mother of the Bride: Donna Gonzales ###/###-#### Sister of the Bride: Lorraine Castellon-Rowe ###/###-####. The second card says Food and will have the menu and the third card will say Fun and will have this quote or something like it: Games will be played. Prizes will be won. You will laugh and enjoy time with friends and loved ones.
The words shown here are actually just photoshopped in to see what it will look like. I will actually print the words on each card.Finally, here's a banner I made for my DS's preschool graduation. WOO HOO!! I'm so very proud of him and will sincerely miss his teachers! They are the absolute best teachers in Fremont in my honest opinion. The banner to the left is one another class used and we decided to keep it up. The one I created is the one with the stars. The white stars say CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2008. I used my Cricut to cut the stars and the letters. I used SU!'s Glossy white, Brilliant Blue and Real Red cardstock. I punched the small red stars using our Large star punch. Saturday Night Card Crafting

I really had the bug to make some cards tonight. Do you ever get in those moods where you just want to sit at your craft table and just create?? That was my mood tonight. My DS fell asleep at 8:00 and my DH went to the gym so that meant I had some "me" time. Making cards is what I love to do when I have this kind of time. I can't clean the house cuz' my DS is sleeping and I have to be quiet so what better to do than make stuff??!!?? Anyway, here's what I came up with during my quiet time. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit. I hope you enjoy what I have to show you tonight.

On the first 3 cards I used some new Hero Arts stamps I bought at my LSS. I've had the new Hero Arts catalog for a while now and absolutely love most of the samples in there so I finally broke down and bought some of their stamps.

This set is called Dots and Lines. I also used the SU! set called One of A Kind. I used some old SU! DSP for the background and Regal Rose, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Tempting Turquoise Card Stock. Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise and Basic Black Classic Pads. The ribbon is the SU! Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon and I finished it off with the Signo Gel White pen to make a few extra white dots on the background paper. This paper already has some white dots but I needed more.

This card was made with the Hero Arts Flourish Lily stamp and SU!'s Sincere Salutations stamp set. The card stock is Only Orange, Real Red and Whisper White. I colored the Lily with Real Red, Only Orange, Summer Sun, Glorious Green and Green Galore Stampin' Write Markers. The flower outline and sentiment are stamped with the Basic Black Classic pad. The ribbon is SU!'s Real Red 5/8" Grosgrain and the rhinestones are some Swarovski Crystals I got at Michael's. I just used the markers to blend each color. I started with the Real Red then blended with the Only Orange and Summer Sun. I did the same with the Glorious Green and Green Galore markers.

This card uses another Hero Arts stamp called Sketchbook Flowers. I also used the sentiment from SU!'s Sweet Dreams set. Card stock is Lovely Lilac, Regal Rose and Whisper White. I colored the flowers & stamped ribbon with Pink Passion, Regal Rose, Lovely Lilac, Lavender Lace, Almost Amethyst, Green Galore and Glorious Green. The sentiment was stamped using Lovely Lilac and the outline of the flower was stamped with the Basic Black Classic Pads. I used SU's Bold Brights buttons and some white hemp I had laying around. I blended the colors with the markers.

This last one has very little stamping. The only stamping is on the topiary pots using the small flourish stamp in the Stampin' Up! Priceless set with the Going Grey Classic Pad. Card stock used is Ballet Blue, Wild Wasabi, Green Galore, Certainly Celery, Only Orange, Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Real Red, Creamy Caramel and Whisper White. I wrote the Welcome sentiment with my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. I used the Vintage Antique Brass Brads from SU! and I also used the Boho Blossoms, Rectangle, 1/8" and 1/16" Circle punches. The topiary pots are also punched with a retired punch and I can't think of the name of it right now.

Wu Family Bill Organizer

Here's a bill organizer I made for a friend. She requested I use Berry Bliss Designer Series Paper. I think it turned out really cute. I love this paper. This is made the exact same way as the 12 pocket organizer except I sealed the bottom of each month pocket on the inside bottom after it was folded in half at the 6" mark so she can use the top pockets also. BLOG CANDY WINNER

I would seriously like to thank all of you that entered for this blog candy! I know it was kind of a hard answer but some of you DID find my case'd card on PAGE 2 of the Spring Summer Catty.
