Quilted Thank You

I am so in love with our new Designer Series Paper!! I just can't stop looking at it AND using it! I've been wanting to make a quilted card for a long time so today I sat down and made one! This card uses the new Raspberry Tart DSP, Whisper White and Pretty in Pink cardstock, our new Ribbon Originals - Dress Up, the Pretties Kit medium half back pearls, Elegant Thank You single stamp and my Cutting Tool with the Bone Folder to score the quilt design. The ink is Regal Rose Classic Pad. This card is 5" x 5".

Thanks for taking the time to visit me today. I hope you're having a wonderful week!

My Very First CROP!!

I absolutely had a blast at my very first crop ever!! I went with some really good friends, Gina, Debbie and Jan. Let me just say...I will definitely be going to more crops in the future! Sure, it was hard to decide what I wanted to take with me, that's why I took everything that could fit in my big SU! tote, my Big Shot doctor bag, my tool tote and another SU! bag! Let me tell you, I took a ton of stuff but I am so glad I did. I actually had no idea what I was going to work on when I got there but that's ok. I mounted some stamps, made 3 cards and had a great time hanging out with these wonderful ladies all day! I didn't want it to end. Here are some pics of us girls and the 3 cards I made.
Thank you so much for visiting me today. I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for your week!

Here's Gina working on some cards for a swap she's in.
Here's Deb working on her kids scrapbooks. Micky Mouse for her son Kyle and Tinker Bell for her daughter Megan. Here we all are! I didn't get a close up of Jan for some reason but she's the cute one on the bottom left. She was working on a scrapbook for a good friend using all really old pics. It was neat so see the way they dressed back then. Here's the first card I made. I used Almost Amethyst and Pretty in Pink cardstock with the new Tea Party Designer Series Paper. (isn't that paper just gorgeous??!!??) The frame is from the SU! stamp set called Gallery and the "thanks" is from the Thank You Kindly stamp set. That beautiful ribbon is from our new Ribbon Originals called Dress Up and the brads are our Earth Elements collection. This card uses our new, incredible, CIRCLE CUTTER!!! WOO HOO!! That circle cutter is just fabulous! The cardstock is Pretty in Pink, So Saffron and Certainly Celery. The DSP is again Tea Party. The ribbon is our 5/8" grosgrain in Regal Rose. The stamp is one of our new single stamps called Elegant Thank You and was punched out with the Scallop Square and then punched with our 1/16" circle punch. The scallop around the 1/2 circle was created using our new Eyelet Border punch as well as the corners of the So Saffron layer. The flower is punched out with our new Embosslet called Cherry Blossom and has a new Flower brad in the middle. Finally the ink is our Classic Rose Red Pad and a Versamark pad for the background on the So Saffron. Here's my final card. The cardstock is Summer Sun and Chocolate Chip. The DSP background is from the cutest collection called Good Morning Sunshine. The stamp set is our new set Just Buzzin' By. I paper pieced the bee hive also using the Good Morning Sunshine. The ribbon is our 5/8" grosgrain in Chocolate Chip and attached by punching 2 Horizontal Slits and threading it through. The little flower is one of our Flower brads in Chocolate Chip and the ink is Basic Black. Thanks again for coming by to see me. Have a wonderful day!

Luggage Tag

Well, I'll be going to my very first crop tomorrow with some good friends and I thought I should make a tag for my Stampin' Up! suitcase/tote. I've seen some of these ladies with their huge suitcases full of stuff and I thought "why not?" I have no idea what to bring and what to leave at home so I'm sure I'll try to fit my whole stamp room in my tote. LOL!! I am so excited!!

The shapes are made with the Big Shot, the Frame Oval Scallop and the Flower Daisies#2 dies. The small oval with my name & info on them are made using my oval Coluzzle cutting system. The papers are the new Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper and chipboard. The ribbon is our 5/8" Regal Rose Grosgrain. I glued all the papers onto the chipboard with our Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive then ran the whole thing through my Xyron to laminate it.

Thanks for stopping by to see me. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Big Shot STAMPS!!

Just one more reason to buy the BIG SHOT!!
I have been wanting to try this for a long time now...today was the day!!
I used my big shot to make NEW STAMPS!! How cool is that!
I had some extra rubber after mounting some new SU! stamps so I thought I'd try it! It worked like a charm! I just trimmed my extra rubber to the size of one of the die cuts then ran it through my Big Shot! Then cut the same image out of Basic Black cardstock and used packing tape to adhere it to my wood block. I used a piece of wood from an old stamp set that I never used and voila!! A new stamp to match my Big Shot die! WOO HOO! I hope you give it a try and let me know what you come up with!
Have a fantastic day!

It's a Stretch...

Here's a card I've had in my head for a while now. It uses the It's A Stretch stamp set. First I stamped the vase with the flower in it. Then I punched out an oval using my Large Oval Punch and used that to trace the table. Then I used the birthday cake stamp and only inked up the bottom of the stamp and stamped the base of the table. I masked the table while I stamped the base. That's about it. I colored in the table with my White Craft Pad and a sponge dauber. There's also Crystal Effects on the vase to make it look like shiny glass.

Hope you're having a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by to see me!

B is for...

Baby! I've been searching for inspiration for a Baby card for month's now. I have 2 people I needed to send Baby cards to and I finally found my inspiration!! A very special thank you goes out to Carla Peichef of Moralia’s Weblog!! I saw this B card on her blog and just fell in love with it! So, here's my version...

Now to make this card you'll need your Cricut and the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. First you want to make the 2 Whisper White B's using the Shadow option. My B is 6" but I had to cut off the top and bottom sections on the left side just a tad for them to fit into a regular envelope. After you've cut your 2 B's using the Shadow option then you cut your patterned paper in regular mode. There you have it! A "B" Card...ha ha ha get that, ABC...I just crack myself up!! LOL!! Anyway...if you can't understand what the heck I'm talking about here just send me an email and I'll see if I can clear it up for you.

From Our Home To Yours - Christmas Window

Here's another Christmas card I made. I just love this Hostess set called Window Dressing. There are so many possibilities with this set and it can be used for any holiday or occasion. It comes with images that can be used for Halloween, Fall, Winter, Christmas and Spring and it has a little girl face, a little cat and a little bird but you can use any image from any stamp set for the window. The possibilities are endless. It's such a versatile set and I wish it would be available in the New 2009 Spring Catalog but as we all know Hostess sets are here for a limited time. I'm so glad I got this set before it's retirement at the end of the month and I'm sure I'll be using it all year long.

Happy Holidays to you all!

Busy, Busy, Busy

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
I hope this wonderful season finds you healthy, happy and surrounded by those you love.
I have been away for a while and I have to apologize to all of you. Things just got really busy right around Halloween and I just haven't had time to post anything. I have so much to share with you and will try my best to show you over the next couple of days.

Here are some Christmas cards I made a while back.

Happy Haunting Halloween

Happy Halloween!! Here are a few cards I made to celebrate the haunting season. The two black cat cards are for my son's teachers. The other two are just for fun. I used the Coluzzle oval template to create the cats and the other two are made using the Top Notes Big Shot Die. I got the oval cat idea from Lydia B. Fiedler at Understand Blue. She's got a great blog you really need to check out. Thanks Lydia!
I hope you all have a safe and spooktacular Halloween!

Christmas Tree Card

I wanted to try to make some kind of Christmas Tree card and this is what I came up with. I used the Scallop Edge Punch for the edges but if you have the Big Shot with the Pennant Die it would be much easier. I first cut a regular sized card then cut it in a triangle shape. Then with the Scallop Edge punch I punched the angle side of the card one side at a time. Then I cut some Bella Rose DSP, glued it to the top of the card and punched that. Then I cut another piece of the Bella Rose DSP and glued it to the inside of the card and punched each side again. Then I decorated the inside and outside with the Join In The Cheer Die for the words and the Snowflake Punch for the snowflakes and the 1/2" Circle punch for a few snow balls. The swirlies on the inside are made using the 1 3/4" Circle punch then you just cut around and around in to the center. I did add some Dazzling Diamonds and Chunky Glitter to the snowflakes on the outside.
Anyway, here's the card.
Thanks again for stopping by to see me.

Snow Owl

Is it Harry Potter's Owl or is it just a beautiful snow owl? You decide. :0) I think these are the most beautiful birds and I tried to create one with cardstock. It isn't as beautiful as the real thing but it's a cute version. I hope you like it. It's made with Whisper White, Going Gray and Black Cardstock. The branches were stamped using the Eastern Blooms branch but not the flowers. I used my black Stampin' Write Marker to fill in the spaces where the flowers were. Then I used Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on top of the branches to create glistening snow. The ribbon was from my stash.

Thanks for coming by to see me today!

A couple of Wise Old Owls...

Happy Sunday!! I hope you are enjoying your last day of the weekend and doing something nice and relaxing. My son had a birthday party to go to so we were out and about most of the day. It was a great party and we had a lot of fun. Now we're home just relaxing for a while so I thought I'd get in a quick post.

I learned how to make these cute little owls at Patty Bennett's meeting. Ellen McCarthy shared how to make these cute little owls, a turkey, a birthday cake and a cute cupcake all with Stampin' Up! punches. Today I have the owls to show you. I have been seeing these owls all over the place lately and was so excited to learn how to make one. If you would like the directions just shoot me an email and I'll send them to you. All supplies are listed below the pictures. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by to see me!
