Every month Stampin' Up! sends it's demonstrators a magazine filled with tips, tricks, techniques and wonderful inspiration. Well, when I opened this month's magazine I saw a card made by Mary Fish and knew I had to make one!! Here's my version of Mary's card. There are a few minor differences but it's basically the same. I loved the bright colors Mary used and the layout was perfect. If you want to see Mary's card and her other cards featured in our Stampin' Success magazine just click Mary's name. Thank you Mary for the inspiration.
I hope you're all having a wonderful week and remember to hug the ones you love...oh, what the heck, hug everyone and spread some happiness!!

Girly Gift Bags
Tomorrow is my son's 6th birthday party and he invited boys AND girls to his party. So, he tells me he wants a Transformer's birthday party. Ok, that's great, but what do I do for the girls gift bags? Well, I got the boys Transformer's goodies for their gift bags and couldn't give the girls that stuff. So, we (my son and I) picked out some cute little girly things for the girls. Some cute dress up stickers, some sparkly nail polish, some oh so pretty tattoos and a matching pencil to do their homework with. I'm thinking how fun it is to be able to look at girly stuff because I only have one boy so that doesn't happen very often. Then we get home and guess what I forgot to get??? The gift bags to put all this girly stuff in. No problem...I just whipped out some white lunch sacks, cut off about an inch on top, punched a little handle oval with the Large Oval punch, stamped some darling Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay flowers on them and taa daa...some cute girly gift bags. Then I think to myself, I'm so lucky to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator otherwise, I would have had to make another trip to the party store for more gift bags!!!
Thanks for coming to see me today. I hope you have a fun party to go to but if not I hope your day is a super fun day anyway!

Some Very Special Cards!
Happy Saturday!!
Yes, I know I haven't been posting for a very long time and I am so sorry! Being that it's summer we have been SO very busy. I do have a bunch of cards I will be posting in the next few days so be sure to check back.
Ok, for today, I have a couple of very special cards to show you. The first two pictures are of cards my little man (6 year old son) has created for some very special people in his life. I can't tell you who because they read my blog and I don't want them to know who they are until they get them in the mail.
I was making some swaps and Randy always wants to create with me when I'm making cards so here's what he made. All designs are his own. Now, they're not perfect, but to me they are the most beautiful cards ever!

Next is a card I just put together for fun. I had my Eastern Blooms set out for the swaps I was creating and wanted to use some of our new Designer Series Paper (Tall Tales). Here's what I came up with. The layout is a total case from a card a friend made (Gina Cardera). I can't show you her card yet because it's one of her convention swaps but believe me...it's absolutely beautiful. After convention I will post it here.

WOO HOO!!! My very first RAK! I just want to send out a super special THANK YOU to Debbie Little of Beloit WI!!!! I received this beautiful RAK from Debbie and it just made my day!! It's so delicate and girly and SPARKLY...my favorite!! Thank you so very much Debbie I LOVE IT!!
If you're wondering what a RAK is it's a Random Act of Kindness. Lots of stampers send these to others for no reason at all, or actually, just to bring some happiness into the lives of others. It is a wonderful feeling to receive one as well as send one. Try it, I promise it will make you feel good.
Thanks again Debbie and thank you all for coming to see me today. It has made my day a little happier!
Hugs,
Lorraine

Push Pull Flower Pot
I have been seeing these flower pots all over the web lately so I jumped on the bandwagon and made one for my Mom for Mother's Day. This one has a little twist to it though. It's a push/pull card. I was visiting another blog when I found the instructions. As soon as I remember the name of the blog I was visiting I will add the link here. Until then I'm sure you can find instructions on the Splitcoast Stampers website. It's very easy to make.
Thank you for coming to see me today and I hope you have a super great weekend!

Cross for Megan
My good friend Debbie's daughter is having her First Communion today and I wanted to make her a special card. This is a pretty simple card because I really wanted the cross to be the focal point.
To make this cross you'll need a 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper. Then take your 1 1/4" Square punch and punch out the two top corners. Then punch the bottom 2 corners and punch one more time up from the bottom two corner punches. That's it. Really easy. I layered the cross then cut around it using my Paper Trimmer. Supplies are listed below.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by today!

Lorraine
This first card was created by Jennifer Huber. Just look at the different centers for each flower! Plus, she stamped the sentiment right on the twill ribbon and it didn't bleed!! How awesome is that? I've never been able to stamp on ribbon without it bleeding! Great job Jennifer!
This card was created by Sherry Wilfong-Palzet. Let me tell you an awesome secret about this card...see that pretty ribbon? First of all, it goes ALL the way around the card. Second, there is no seam to be seen!!! Sherry hid the seam under the wagon!!! That is one awesome little trick Sherry!! I will definitely be using that trick!!
This cute little ducky card was created by Donna Centamore. I've got a totally goose bump inspiring story to tell you about Donna. Come back tomorrow for that story!! Well, as you can see, this card is absolutely darling! Check out the little ducky's wing...it's all sparkly with chunky glitter!! WOO HOO! I LOVE SPARKLY STUFF! Oh, and check out the Eyelet Border punch...she layered the border and the holes don't show in the layer underneath. That is something I would have never thought of. I would have thought the holes would have shown through. Great idea Donna!! Oh, and check out the inside of the card below. Too cute!!!
Here's another awesome card. Barbara Jean Smith created this incredible card with an interesting fold. Check out the next picture to see how it opens. It's totally 3-D!! Take a good look at that wagon too...it's completely cut out, every detail! Barbara Jean used some gold ink for the details of the wagon as she made it look totally like barn wood. You've got to see this in real life. It looks like real wood!!
